My name is Gracen Guy, and I’m a jewelry designer and visual artist based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I earned my BFA in Jewelry Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I deepened my understanding of adornment as both a personal and artistic expression.
For me, jewelry is more than ornamentation—it's a language of identity, storytelling, and empowerment. Whether I’m crafting physical pieces or styling and creating for my photography, I use adornment as a tool to explore the intersection between body, beauty, and meaning.
Symbolism plays a central role in my process, allowing each object to carry layers of meaning and emotional resonance. My work is often inspired by the organic forms found in nature, and the complexity of the human body. I often draw from mythology, botanical symbolism, and feminine archetypes to create designs that speak to something deeper than aesthetics. Every piece I create, whether wearable or conceptual, aims to connect the wearer—or viewer—to a story, a feeling, or a piece of themselves.
